2022 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Darrell McDowell is a 2025 RHP/UT with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Lassiter. XL frame with lanky, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.26 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, standout arm speed with limitless velocity projection, developing feel for lower half in delivery, tends to fall off and yank through, fastball worked up to 87 mph with flashes of good life, showed some feel for a slider. Hits from narrow and open stance, big hitch into load, swings hard with intent, varying path and length through zone, has big leverage and power potential. Showed well defensively in a pair of spots, has athleticism and feel for footwork in both spots, graded out slightly better from the outfield, arm strength clocked up to 90 mph across the diamond. Good student, named to 2022 Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
