Javier Gorostola is a 2023 C/IF, OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Florida Christian School. Recorded a 7.42 second 60-yard dash time. Strong body with a physical build and lots of well-proportioned strength. Primary catcher with a lower set up and quick transfers. Longer arm with good accuracy down to the bag. Gets rid of the ball quickly and has very good arm strength and a best recorded pop time of 1.85 seconds. Arm strength plays from secondary position of the infield with throws up to 91 mph. Right-handed hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and a spread stance. Subtle leg lift with a full swing path and an upper half dominant swing. Clears lower half and the hands work well. Heavy barrel and has strength out in front. Tremendous student. Verbal commitment to Florida International.
