AJ Goytia is a 2023 C/OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Winter Garden, FL who attends Montverde Academy. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 6.38 in the 60 yard dash. Hits from slightly open and relaxed stance, short and compact swing with simple approach, stays committed to the middle of the field and can work oppo as well, stays inside the ball, good contact skill with advanced understanding of the strike zone as well. Primary catcher, athletic behind the plate, moves well, quick out of crouch, length to arm stroke through release, quality carry on throws, clocked up to 84 mph. Also took outfield reps and threw 87. Good student, committed to Miami.
