Henry Mitchell is a 2022 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Albuquerque, NM who attends Albuquerque Academy. Recorded a 7.35 second 60 yard dash time. Compact frame and lean build with present strength. Primary shortstop with a clean approach and soft hands, looks confident and comfortable on the infield. Good carry across the diamond at 87 mph. Quick release and transfer with fluid actions, moves well laterally has smooth footwork. Secondary right-handed pitcher with very athletic and explosive movements on the mound. Big life on the fastball with great arm speed. Athleticism plays big into the delivery, drives hard down the mound. Pounds the zone and attacks hitters with confidence. Ball jumps out of the hand at 89 mph, shows an 11-5 curveball with depth and sharp bite, also has a quality changeup to complete the three-pitch mix. Switch hitter with a quick and loose stroke, handles the barrel well on both sides. Creates more lift on the left side, good extension out front, shows the ability to strike the ball, more power to come. Ultra-athletic prospect with exciting two-way potential. Great student. Named to the 2020 Lone Star Showcase Top Prospect List. New Mexico commit.
