Gage Petrutz is a 2026 C/3B, OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Mantua, NJ who attends Clearview. Wiry strong medium frame with a ton of twitch and still a lot of time to add overall physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in a respectable 7.00 seconds. Primary position C, arm absolutely stood out right away with velocity up to 76 mph and a pop time best 1.97 without cheating. Puts the ball on the bag. Very refined mechanics with clean footwork and smooth transfer. Also reps in the OF, sat back a bit but when he cut it loose it was real with 88 mph velocity to the bags. RHH working from an even base, subtle stride to contact and explosive hand action. Really creates big time torque from his midsection. Hands are quick and there is real strength at impact. Sure to be followed closely in the coming months, rare comprehensive tool set from behind the plate. Outstanding student as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
