Diesel Purnell is a 2025 SS/2B with a 5-7 152 lb. frame from Peculiar, MO who attends Raymore-Peculiar Sr.. Purnell worked exclusively from his primary infield spot, showcasing smooth actions with natural athleticism and range up the middle. He released the ball quickly across the diamond with effortless transitions, touching 86 mph from a medium build with additional room to fill out and mature. Offensively, Purnell displayed balanced swing mechanics from both boxes as a switch hitter, flashing solid barrel extension with intent to use the entire field. He generated good lower half rotation and has power potential present. Purnell also displayed a plus speed tool, posting a 6.91 sixty yard dash. Great student.
