Kyle Johnson is a 2023 OF/LHP with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Leesburg, VA who attends Riverside HS. Recorded a 6.61 second 60-yard dash time. Large, physical frame with lots of well-proportioned strength throughout. Primary outfielder with a quick arm stroke and good carry on release. Loose, fast arm with throws up to 94 mph into the infield. Lower slot with good footwork and positional awareness. Secondary left-handed pitcher with a mid-three-quarters slot and extended release. Lower arm slot with good arm speed. Plenty of angle to the target and gets quick outs. Showed all three pitches with a tough to square fastball. Right-handed hitter with a compact stroke and strong wrists. Good lift to the swing and can the hit the ball hard often. Middle of the field approach and found a couple of 90+ exits in game. Well-rounded two-way with exciting arm speed, power projection. Great student. Verbal commitment to Duke.
