Eddie Del Valle is a 2023 LHP/1B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Gurabo, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Ran a 7.61 second sixty. Primary left-handed pitcher with a larger build. Worked from the stretch only with a leg lift above the belt while the arm works on medium track through the back to a three-quarters arm slot with average arm speed. The fastball got up to 83 mph while sitting 77-82 mph and living at the bottom of the zone. Worked a slider as the breaking ball in the upper 60's with good horizontal action through the hitting zone. Mixed in a changeup to right-handed hitters with slight fading action as a pitch that can develop moving forward. Right-handed hitter, starts with an open stance using a stiff leg lift to get back to even. The hands drop into the slot with some hand speed turning quickly through the hitting zone with intent hitting balls hard to the pull side. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
