Angel Rivera is a 2023 C/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Trujillo Alto, PR who attends Leadership Christian Academy. Large frame with athletic, strong build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.36 seconds. Hits from even base, keeps swing compact, rotates well and creates leverage, strength to pull-side stands out, has ability to leave the yard. Worked out behind the plate, stands straight up out of crouch and doesn't gain ground, quick release with above-average arm strength, clocked up to 79 mph from behind the plate. Also pitched, abbreviated windup with drop and drive, compact arm stroke, fastball worked 83-85 mph with good carry through the zone, flashed a slider with slurvy shape and good bite, missed bats with both offerings. Good student, named to 2022 Sunshine Northeast Top Prospect List.
