Johnny Carver is a 2026 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Raymore, MO who attends Raymore-Peculiar. Recorded a 7.78 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher with a medium frame. Pitched exclusively from the stretch and used a leg lift to core level, landing on line. Clean and repeatable delivery and employed a clean, medium length arm action. Easy delivery and worked the edges with lots of strikes, topping at 84 mph with the heater. Released from 3/4 slot, and occasionally dropped slot to lower-3/4. Slider showed two-plane shape and was consistent. Changeup featured fade as well. Good makings of pitchability and generated some angle as well. Seondary first baseman and took a solid round with softer hands. Left-handed hitter and starts from a slightly open stance with a high back elbow and hand set. Stays very direct to the ball. Produced lots of barrels, working the pull side and middle of the field. Repeated swing and had a consistent round. Great student. Verbal commitment to Arkansas.
