Ernie Echevarria is a 2024 C/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Belen Jesuit Prep. Recorded a 7.39 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a long and lanky build. Worked a consistent round behind the plate with good arm strength. Also worked out from the infield. Displayed soft hands before utilizing a short and quick arm action. Showed good arm strength and recorded up to 84 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter and begins from a medium base with even feet. Employs a heal turn to start. Swing is long and loose with solid bat speed. Path is level through the zone and gets extended out front. Found a good amount of barrels and worked the middle of the field. Tremendous student. Named to the 2021 Main Event Top Prospect List.
