Matthew Millett is a 2024 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Grand Prairie, TX who attends Lake Ridge. Large frame with good length and excellent physical projection. Ran a 6.69 second 60-yard, athletic two-way prospect. Primary right-handed pitcher, power arm projection with easy gas right now, high three-quarters slot and works downhill with plane, gets a ton of swing-and-miss with the fastball in the zone while carrying it in the upper-80s, peaking at 90, holds velocity well and went to a pair of secondaries. Short, slurvy breaking ball with some horizontal bite to it, projectable spin and can land it, also turned over fading changeup with real depth. Also plays first base, athletic and methodical at the position, fluid through his actions and arm strength plays well. Right-handed hitter, slightly open start and moves in on time, slightly longer stroke but has good bat speed and gets on time, works to both gaps well with some future power projection. Good student. Verbal commitment to Texas. Named to 2022 High School All State Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
