Hogan Nelson is a 2025 OF/RHP/IF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Liberty Christian. Good size and athleticism, easy to project on. Ran a 6.79 second 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, good quickness to his steps and moves around the ball well, clean funnels and stays in line to release, big arm up to 89 from the outfield, easy carry out of the hand. Shows big arm in the infield too, easy mover and balanced on the dirt, up to 90 across and shows comfortability on the left side at the corner spot. Pitches as well, works downhill well and up to 84 with the fastball, good feel for spin too with late depth, athletic and can fill the zone. Right-handed hitter, even base and athletic setup, very simple swing and on the barrel a ton because of it, moves the weight in well and engages the ground, can backspin the baseball already and stays in good rhythm, easy to like the offensive upside paired with the athleticism and tools. Named to 2023 Sunshine Texas Top Prospect List.
