Masa Chilcutt is a 2025 C/3B/MIF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Johnson. Smaller young athletic build. 6.65 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has very quick and athletic lower half actions, blocks everything, has a quick exchange and release, makes accurate throws. Has lots of potential defensively as a second baseman, very good lateral range, easy glove actions, works low through the ball. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance, has a simple load and trigger, makes consistent mid field line drive contact, very direct and short to the ball, high contact approach that he executes well, impact ability will continue to improve as he gets stronger. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Texas.
