2022 PG Underclass All-American Games
Andre Wood is a 2024 RHP/C/IF with a 6-1 189 lb. frame from Leander, TX who attends Gateway College Prep. Strong athletic build. Pretty simple delivery, some energy out front, 3/4's arm slot with some looseness out front. Fastball worked up to 88 mph, gets occasional running action, mostly straight. Gets big depth on a slow curveball, can tighten this pitch up for better command and consistency. Leans heavily on his change up, has better feel for throwing it for strikes than his other two pitches. Right handed hitter, has an upper body swing with a line drive to downhill swing plane, some strength at contact, can get his strong lower half more involved in creating bat speed and plane. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
