Trent Caram is a 2023 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-3 192 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Telos Academy. Big and strong build with lots of present strength, older and more physically mature than most of his class peers. Two-way prospect, graded out higher as an outfield prospect at this event. 7.15 runner, has athletic actions in the outfield, comes to the ball quickly and confidently with good glove work, has carry on his throws from a consistent well schooled exchange and transition. Also plays first base with similar arm strength and athleticism. Right handed hitter, has an aggressive approach at the plate, some back side collapse creating up hill angle to his swing, looks to lift the ball, has the bat speed to drive the gaps and made some solid game adjustments to square up the ball successfully. Works from the stretch on the mound with a 3/4's arm slot. Low 80's fastball with good consistent sinking action, topped out at 84 mph early. Tends to drop his arm slot on his slider for a flat sweeping break but lands it well in the strike zone. Named to the National Underclass South Top Prospect List.
