Tyson Roberson is a 2023 1B/LHP, OF with a 6-7 240 lb. frame from Powder Springs, GA who attends Dominion Christian. Extra-Large frame with a filled out build showing strength throughout. Ran a 7.48 second sixty yard dash. Primary First Baseman, scooping it up as he showed off the feel for the leather. Quick release when turning two with throws on the money. Feel for the position present and projects here with his size. Secondary Left-Handed Pitcher, working with a side step to a higher lift as he sits on back leg before driving down the hill. Over the top slot release as he worked downhill. Direct to dish as he stays simple in the actions. Filled up the zone with two pitches and went right after hitters. Fastball up to 82 mph with plenty more velocity in the tank. Also mixed in a slider with short, vertical bite to it. Upside on the mound present. Secondary Outfielder, taking efficient routes to and through the baseball. Clean gather to the side as he carries weight well into throws. Accurate and kept throws down as he threw it 87 mph during drills. Left-Handed Hitter, starting open with the front side before working into a toe tap to stride. Generates big bat speed as he looks to get extended and drive it deep to the pull-side. Easy power in the swing when he times the baseball up properly. Projects as a power type bat down the road. Good Student. Named to Southeast Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
