Malachi Jeffries is a 2023 SS/MIF with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Buford, GA who attends Seckinger. Medium frame with fast twitch muscle throughout. Ran a 6.52 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, lateral range present with advanced agility. Does a great job working around the baseball before scooping it up. Feel for the leather present with arm strength to go with it. Throws up to 88 mph across the diamond with accuracy. Has the proper tools to stick here long term. Switch Hitter, from the left-side, lower hand set before striding out. Fires the hands and gets the barrel out early. Pull-side liners as he proved he could square up the baseball. From the right-side, higher hand set working into a short load and stride. Fluid, linear cut as the lower half worked in rhythm with the hands. Impacted with some thump and drove it into the gaps on a line. Good Student. Named to Southeast Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.
