Gregory Bruno is a 2024 RHP/IF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Staten Island, NY who attends St. Joseph by the Sea. Works from a sturdy frame with present physical strength. Right-handed pitcher, abbreviated wind-up, slight coiled leg lift into balance, good lower-half movements down the slope, releases from a loose and whippy three-quarters slot, fastball carries through the zone and showed late arm side run, topped out at 89 mph with intriguing spin metrics. Landed a sharp slider with good horizontal break for strikes, manipulated shape and speed with it. Flashed well-replicated changeup with slide fade. Struck out three through two perfect innings in live action. Right-handed hitter, starts in a narrow even base, tight hands, hanging leg lift trigger, quick leveraged stroke, good strength in the hands and at impact, power from gap to gap when timed-up, present bat speed, recorded an exit velocity of 94 mph. Good student. Named to the Sunshine Northeast Top Prospect List.
