2017 PG Fall Top Prospect National Showcase
William Pickford is a 2019 RHP/ with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Vienna, VA who attends Bishop O'Connell HS. Physically projectable frame with a very lean and slender build and tons of room to fill out. Primary righthanded pitcher with a short and clean arm action. Gets downhill very well from a high leg lift above the belt. Good balance and repeatable delivery with very good extension down the mound. Higher three-quarter arm slot with a compact arm circle. Fastball up to 85 mph with tons of cutting life. Lots of plane and life to the fastball. Short and tight-spinning curveball and can throw the pitch for strikes. Lots of swing and miss within the strike zone. Solid command of the fastball, especially to the lower glove side corner. Curveball shows tilt and two-plane break. Gets to both sides and clears the lower half well. Fields position well. Named to the 2017 PG Fall Top Prospect National Showcase. Tremendous student.
