Owen Turner is a 2024 C/3B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Oxford, MI who attends Brother Rice. Tall, athletic build with well-proportioned strength throughout the frame. Great runner, recorded a 6.52 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, natural receiver, works under the ball, gains ground with athleticism coming out of the crouch. Gets rid of the ball quickly with excellent carry on throws. Should stick behind the plate, throws up to 78 mph and a pop-time of 1.95. Right-handed hitter, narrow base with upright stance, good rhythm in the load, uncoils hard and produces tons of bat speed and whip. Athleticism plays in the swing, natural loft to the pull-side and hit the ball hard throughout the round. Carried this over to live at-bats and had a big showing there too. Recorded an exit velocity of 100 mph. Excellent student. Named to 2023 Michigan Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
