2022 New York Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Greg Nascimento is a 2024 RHP/3B/OF with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Kinnelon, NJ who attends Kinnelon. Medium, symmetrical overall build with present athleticism and more to come. Primary position RHP, working exclusively from the stretch. Uses a quick cadence to his entire operation on the mound and stays in line well down the mound. High leg lift and high hand break leading to a long, one-piece arm action behind his body and there is arm strength. He pitches with intent and works over top with his arm path and rotates hard through his torso to create arm speed. Command of the strike zone is emerging but there is no denying his stuff. FB sat in the 83-85 range and peaked several times at 86 mph with life and occasional cut in the zone. CB is late and abrupt with vertical shape in the low-70's for the most part and profiles as a power pitch in the future. Took reps in the OF and IF showing very aggressive actions and foot work to the ball. Glove work is adequate but the action lets you know he can make big strides on that end and as on the mound, the arm really plays. He reached 88 mph on OF throws and 86 mph across the diamond from the IF. RHH working with an even stance, high hand set and a hanging leg lift for timing and rhythm. Displayed advanced bat speed and strength at impact with strong hands, especially when he stayed in the middle of the field. Showed some natural loft and more power to come. Elite student and intriguing two-way athlete to watch for the next several years.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
