Jarvis Evans Jr is a 2022 LHP with a 6-5 215 lb. frame from Buford, GA who attends Georgia Premier Academy. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and length to limbs, present strength with additional room to fill. Left-handed pitcher, begins with a big side step moving into a high leg lift up past belt, hip turn at top of delivery, lands slightly closed with strike foot coming down the mound; compact arm action through the backside working to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 90 mph, flashed occasional life to arm side and works to both sides of the plate. Works around the zone with a three-pitch mix, curveball shows tight rotation and 1-7 shape up to 76 mph while the changeup topped out at 79 mph, flashing short fading life to his arm side. Projects well moving forward. Good student. Verbal commitment to Georgia.
