2020 Southeast Prospect Showcase
Braden Osbolt is a 2022 RHP/3B, SS, OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Molena, GA who attends Pike County. He ran a 7.11 second sixty. a primary righthanded pitcher with a large long build with room to fill out on the frame moving forward. On the bump he showed a simple compact delivery with the ability to repeat it at a high rate, his arm works long and free through the back stroke, he sat 83-86 mph with the fastball flashing some arm side run as he works quickly with good tempo and a fast arm, also showed feel for a short tight breaking 10-4 curveball with feel for landing it in the zone, he flashed a changeup up as well with solid arm speed and fading action off the barrel, he projects well moving forward with a solid three pitch mix and the possibility to increase velocity with added strength. In the infield he showed some athleticism moving laterally with a stiff glove working out front, takes a big gather into an over the top arm action with accuracy and solid carry across the field. At the plate, his righthanded swing starts with a slightly open stance, worked best going gap to gap with strength in the hands that translated to the game with a loud double to center field. Named to the 2020 Southeast Prospect Showcase Top Prospects List. Very good student.
