Dylan Simmons is a 2019 1B/RHP with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Jacksonville, FL who attends Trinity Christian Academy. Big and strong athletic build, very physical and mature look. Right handed hitter, high back elbow set up, long and strong swing, shows good bat speed and plenty of strength at contact, moves into contact well and uses his big body to generate bat speed, ball jumps off the barrel hard, lots of power potential. 7.25 runner, has athletic actions at first base and will be an asset at that position. Also pitches, very long arm action in back, medium effort to release. Upper 80's fastball, mostly straight, showed some tightness to his curveball, threw strikes with both pitches. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Florida State.
