Gaylen Rutledge is a 2019 OF/1B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Hendersonville, TN who attends Hendersonville. Large and strong frame. Ran a 7.00 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves to the baseball taking short steps to it, fields the ball out in front with two hands, takes arm back to a full arm stroke, some arm strength when getting on top of throws, releases with intent, topped out at 83 mph from the outfield, has been up to 87 from the outfield at previous PG events. Righthanded hitter, narrow and closed off stance to start, takes a long swing path while still able to get the barrel to the baseball, some bat speed combined with some strength at impact when squared up, works to all fields. Good student.
