Jordan Medellin is a 2022 SS/RHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from League City, TX who attends Bay Area Christian. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Fast-twitch, posted a 6.45 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, takes long strides moving towards the ball, deliberate actions in the dirt and shows athleticism, softness to hands out front, will continue to refine overall footwork, shows present arm strength and online carry across the diamond with throws. Switch-hitter, more refined currently from the left side, starts with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, utilizes a short stride moving into contact; longer swing path through the zone, generates line drive contact off of the barrel and shows some lift out front, projects projects well moving forward, best when fully extended and getting separated. High hands with a lower back elbow from the right side, slightly open stance with leg lift trigger for timing, shorter stroke through the zone, occasionally mistimed, contact oriented approach with extension out front.
