Slate Alford is a 2021 3B/1B, OF with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from Madison, AL who attends Bob Jones. Extra big and strong build. Right handed hitter, has a simple load and trigger at the plate, very short and compact swing especially for his size, top hand heavy at contact, middle of the field line drive approach, has the strength to drive the right centerfield gap and does so regularly, flashes some back spin and lift, consistent offensive approach. 7.20 runner, has sure hands at third base, stays balanced and over his feet well, drops his slot well charging. Good student, verbal commitment to Auburn.
