Cooper Cohn is a 2023 C/RHP with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from McHenry, IL who attends McHenry. Primary catcher with a medium frame and athletic build. Recorded a 7.36 second 60-yard dash time. Cohn displays good footwork and a quick release for a pop time of 1.81 with throws up to 81 mph. Showed arm strength with carry on a number of throws during games with a legit time of 1.88 seconds on the bag. Good receiver with intangibles and arm strength to catch at the next level. Secondary right-handed pitcher with an open front side staggered feet start from far first base side of the rubber. Rhythmic delivery with high hands before dropping them to his waist and then back up with leg lift before getting down the slope. Ran the fastball up to 86 mph with a sharp curveball at 74 mph and shorter slider with lateral break at 78 mph. Commanded the zone with all three pitches. Right-handed hitter with a medium-wide base and hands off back shoulder start. Toe-tap knee lift trigger stride with rotational barrel path through the zone. Good rhythm in the box with impact to the pull side from quick hands and strong base. Good student. Named to the Fall Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.
