2022 High School All State Select Championship (2023-2024 Grads)
Brayden Mulkey is a 2024 OF/LHP with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Davenport High School. Smaller athletic build. Defensively, in the outfield his first steps were quick and efficent to work through the baseball. Plenty of feel for the spot with proper glove work. The arm action is clean with some quickness to it. Throws were decently accurate with moderate carry. At the plate, he sets up with even base and high back elbow that works into a hanging leg kick. The bat path is short and compact with ample feel for the barrel. On the mound, he works out of a stretch only operation with belt high lift that sinks well into the backside. Effortless motion with three-quarters release point. Fastball overloads the zone with decent 4 quadrant utilization. Soft front side. Fastball shows arm side run at times. Changeup shows signs of being a future quality offering. 6.75 60-yard. Oustanding student.
