Matthew Krause is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Hermosa Beach, CA who attends Mira Costa. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room to get stronger. 7.16 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder who has smooth and fluid actions through the ball, advanced footwork in his exchange and throws, long and loose arm action with plenty of carry on his throws along with good accuracy. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow upright stance and a leg raise trigger, aggressive swing approach with present bat speed, loads hands deep which creates some length, middle of the field line drive contact. Also pitched, has a compact clean arm action from a high 3/4's arm slot, simple and repeatable mechanics and gets down the mound well. Four-seam fastball had good ride up to 85 mph, two-seam fastball got good sink at 80-82. Also threw a cutter and a very good lively change up. Impressive two-way talent. Good student. Named to the California Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
