Cooper McBride is a 2023 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-9 154 lb. frame from Arlington, WA who attends Arlington. Medium size compact frame. Ran a 7.48 60-yard dash. A two-way talent with some potential on both sides of the baseball. Left handed pitcher with a three pitch mix on the mound. Compact delivery with a coil and a three quarter arm slot. Utilizes the legs well driving towards the plate. Low 80's fastball with some arm side run, a big sweeping breaking ball in the low 70's and a change up with maintained arm speed and about 10 MPH separation off the fastball. Threw strikes and maintained velocity over multiple innings. Also an outfielder with an average first step and some athletic movements with working through the baseball smoothly, fields it clean out front and throws with an above average arm and some accuracy to bases. Hit from an even base with toe tap timing, creates some separation, vertical bat angle with barrel speed through the zone and primary pull side contact with above average pop in the bat. Good student. Named to Northwest Prospect Top Prospect List.
