2022 14U National Showcase
Luc Gaca Thiele is a 2026 3B/RHP/C with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Fortcollins, CO who attends Fossil Ridge. Recorded a 7.99 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman with a well-proportioned frame. Showcased clean glove work in the infield, making all of the plays while showing good intent. Also worked out in the outfield, rounding the ball well and displaying confidence in glove. Employed a crow hop, using a shorter arm action and reaching 81 mph on throws from the outfield. Left-handed hitter and starts with a wide base, open feet, and a high back elbow and hands. Keeps the hands tight and bat stays on a level path through the zone. Worked the opposite field and the middle of the field during his round. Secondary right-handed pitcher and threw exclusively from the stretch. Begins delivery with leg lift to waist level, landing on line at foot strike. Utilzed a full arm swing and pitched with lots of intent. Fastball reached 79 mph, featuring sink to it. Dropped the slot a bit on the curveball but landed it for strikes with comfort. Also showed a changeup, repeating arm speed on it with fade.
