Julian Torres is a 2023 C/3B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Sun Prairie, WI who attends Sun Prairie. Recorded a 7.37 sixty yard dash at the event. Long, sturdy frame. Torres is a primary catcher. He showcases quick feet and good footwork, working towards second base. Stands a little bit out of the crouch on his throws. Shorter arm action with good arm strength, throws carry well to the base. Athletic, agile defender. In the box, Torres hits from the right side. He swings from a medium base with a lower hand set at the plate. Shorter swing path, that looks to spray line drives to all parts of the field. Some effort in his swings. Will benefit from staying more balanced in the box, and continuing to incorporate more of the lower half. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
