Landon Skiles is a 2025 SS/RHP, MIF, OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from East Moline, IL who attends United Township High School. Recorded a 7.33 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame with an athletic build and plenty of room to fill. Primary shortstop, quick, speedy feet with a clean funnel to the chest. Quick release with a clean transfer and higher slot. Has a clue for shortstop, taking good angles. Secondary outfielder, some bounce to the feet fielding off the front foot, crow hop throws with strength in the throws when he keeps momentum in it. Also threw an inning on the mound. The right-handed pitcher works exclusively from the stretch. Belt-high leg kick with a medium length stride down the mound. Quicker medium length arm action with a three- quarter arm slot. Repeats mechanics well with minimal effort at release. The fastball (1994 RPM) was up to 78 and has more velocity in the tank. Has an idea of how to pitch with some feel for setting up hitters. Mixed in a curveball (2005 RPM) with big 12-6 action with depth and that can get swing and miss. Painted the top of the zone with the fastball early in the outing. Mixed locations with the curveball well. Worked away in the zone to left-handed hitters. Right-handed hitter, starts with open feet and an upright stance with high hands and high back elbow, utilizes an inward moving leg lift stride. Some bat speed and a direct path. Line drive approach that was at its best working pull-side. Exciting player with a high ceiling. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
