Fayz Baig is a 2025 LHP/1B with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Marlborough, CT who attends Rham. Large, broad shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout Ran a 7.80 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, turn step moving into a leg lift up to the belt, full and online arm action through the backside working to a high three-quarters release point. Lands open with strike foot coming down the mound but repeats delivery; some effort at release and generates short running life on fastball up to 84 mph in this look. Maintained velocity throughout, pitched to contact and able to land curveball for strikes up to 74 mph with short life to keep hitters off balance. Arm strength plays across the diamond, deliberate tempo to actions, ball comes out cleanly, works behind it. Right-handed hitter, begins with a spread stance and a lower hand set; utilizes a hover leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Strength in hands, shows jump off of the barrel to the middle and pull side parts of the field, incorporates physical strength at the point of contact. Very good student.
