Adam Mein is a 2025 RHP/2B, OF with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Ankeny, IA who attends Ankeny. Recorded a 7.41 second sixty yard dash time. Smaller frame, slender and wiry build with room to fill. Primary right-handed pitcher with a very simple operation, stays in line well with the plate and shows young actions on the mound. Short arm action with slight plunge in the back and big head whack on release. Fastball shows different movement every time, struggles to repeat his release point. Flashed good feel for a big curveball with 11-5 shape and some tilt and downer action, the pitch continued to get better as the outing progressed. The curveball shows promise and it will continue to improve as he spins it harder. Secondary second baseman, fields out front and shows developing actions with limited feel for the position at present. Also worked out in the outfield, fielded the ball out front with a short crow hop into the throw. Right-handed hitter with an even stance and a hanging leg lift trigger. Long swing, barrel tends to get lost in the back, shows an uphill path. Leaks over his front side at times, will improve as he swings with higher intent and reaches extension out front rather than cutting off the swing. Good student.
