Sawyer Deering is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Menasha, WI who attends Kimberly. Medium, athletic build with still some room to continue to grow into the frame. Primary right-handed pitcher, works from a full windup delivery, side steps to a short leg lift, full arm circle in the back to a high three-quarters release point. Arm works really well in the back, stays in good position throughout. Fastball has tons of life out of the hand and good carry up in the zone. Was up to 89 mph in the early going, spins up to 1992 RPM, and sat in the upper-80s throughout. Curveball in upper-70s (2721 RPM) has been thrown with conviction to both handed hitters and has been landed at will. Can manipulate the shape of the breaking ball and back foot to left-handed hitters as well. The athleticism really shines, he has good arm speed and still some more velocity to project on. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
