Ethan Alcantara is a 2023 RHP/2B/OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Sayville, NY who attends Sayville. As a primary RHP, Alcantara works from a younger build with tons of room to fill out and add strength. He uses a compact deceptive motion to pound the zone and let his defense work behind him efficiently from a high 3/4 slot. Alcantara flashes a looping 12-6 curve in multiple counts to keep hitters off balance. In both the IF and OF, the righty showcased quick footwork with a reliable glove and accurate throws. At the dish, Alcantara started from a wide even base with intent to create lift on the ball and generate backspin. He peppered the middle of the field and should see power potential increase with time. Ran a 7.44 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
