Julian Rodriguez is a 2027 C/RHP, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, MIF, IF with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Boca Raton, FL who attends Don Estridge High Tech Middle School. Works from a stockier frame with strength present. Ran a 7.87 60-yard dash. Worked the mid- to upper-70s, reaching 77 mph while on the mound, commanding a fastball with arm-side run and sink to it. Pitched from a three-quarters arm slot and created some plane on his pitches. He mixed in a breaking ball that was slurvy around 68 mph, showing tilt and sweep. He favored a changeup that crept up to 69 mph, killing some spin on it with good depth shown on the pitch. He was efficient on the mound and moved well down the mount getting separation as he moves down the mound. Primary catcher who made on-target throws with quick feet through his transfer that replaced his weight underneath and carried him through the throw well. The transfer was smooth; used a longer arm action on his throws down. In the infield, Rodriguez was able to use soft hands to get some force behind his throws across the infield. Right-handed hitter, with the hands set high, using a leg lift trigger to get on time to work middle/pull-side during his BP round. Kept his actions simple and used a level path, using his strength to produce the harder contact.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
