JD Stein is a 2025 SS/MIF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Carmel, IN who attends Carmel. Shorter compact build with some present strength. 6.61 runner in the sixty. Has very good athleticism in the middle infield and plays with energy, has side to side range and charges the ball aggressively, big arm strength from the hole. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with an inward toe turn into a short stride, has rhythm to his approach, short and strong line drive swing, can back spin the ball to the pull side and stay behind it well to the opposite field, has some juice for his size and good barrel control. Good student, verbal commitment to Louisville.
