Mason Schirmer is a 2025 1B/LHP with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Festus, MO who attends Festus. Big and strong build, especially in the lower half. Left handed hitter, hits from a medium base with an open front foot and a very high hand load, rhythmic load, has some looseness to his swing, best when he's getting the barrel out front and attacking the ball. 7.65 runner in the sixty, Primary first baseman on defense, has good fundamentals and footwork, moves well for his size, has confident glove actions. Took a turn on the mound, has a compact arm action with good tempo to his delivery, cross body release out front. Fastball worked in the mid-80's and topped out at 85 mph, works down in the zone well with occasional sink. Also throws a short curveball and a change up that he lands well. Good student, verbal commitment to Missouri.
