2022 Northeast Top Prospect Games @ Rutgers
Joe Nottingham is a 2025 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-5 194 lb. frame from Windsor Mill, MD who attends Loyola-Blakefield. Large, broad shouldered frame with long levers and tons of projection remaining. Recorded a 7.02 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with segmented actions into balance and good lower half engagement down the slope. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 80s for the majority of his outing and peaked at 91 mph in this look from a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball has good carry and life through the strike zone, missing bats with quality spin rates into the mid-2300s. Flashed developing slider with varying spin profile and shape. Slider was best when thrown with conviction, flashing short horizontal tilt to it. Physical right-hander with tons of physical upside and more velocity in the tank, will continue to improve with minor mechanical adjustments, further development of his breaking ball and additional strength. Secondary first baseman with deliberate footwork into and throughout the fielding process. Shows anticipatory glove work with slight waist bend to field and arm strength up to 83 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a bent-knee stance with a flat hand start, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Developing bat-to-ball skills with slightly downhill swing path and limited weight shift into contact. Hands driven swing with middle-of-the field approach and some strength in his hands. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Immensely projectable frame with huge upside remaining on the mound. Good Student. Named to the 2022 Northeast Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
