Ruben Alvarez is a 2023 MIF/2B, SS with a 5-7 144 lb. frame from Carlstadt, NJ who attends Henry P Becton Reg. Recorded an 8.15 second sixty-yard dash. Primary infielder cleanly fields the ball out front with choppy feet to the ball and shows a quick transfer on release while accurately throwing the ball 65 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter steps to the plate with an open stance, high hands, and a high back elbow with a long leg lift trigger as he works the ball to pull side. Alvarez has a flat swing with developing backspin on the ball showing good barrel control. Good student.
