Zach Rometo is a 2023 3B/RHP, IF, OF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Walden, NY who attends John F Kennedy Catholic. Recorded a 7.18 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, slender frame with long levers and plenty of time to add fill out physically. Primary third baseman with good footwork into the fielding process, using his lower half well to work downhill and funnel out in front. Shows present athleticism which tends to speed up the process slightly for him, works uphill to throw but flashes intriguing tools at present. Recorded arm strength up to 81 mph across the diamond in drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a big windup into a slightly coiled leg lift and rotational lower half movements out to a shorter stride. Fastball worked in the upper-70s for the most part, topping out at 81 mph in this look from a higher three-quarters arm slot. Shows ability to repeat mechanics, pounding the zone with the fastball and mixing in a 11-5 shaped curveball that was thrown for strikes and showed good depth to it. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even, balanced stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Middle-to-opposite field approach with some present bat speed and a slightly uphill swing path. Developing feel for the barrel and slight inconsistent bat-to-ball skills that will improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Plenty of projection remaining. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
