Rafael Gutierrez is a 2022 SS/2B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Central Pointe Christian. Medium, well-proportioned frame with athleticism throughout. Ran a 6.96 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, worked out in the infield with confident and comfortable actions, ranges well to either side and works with momentum through the ball, quick feet going toward the bag and uses a strong arm to create easy carry on accurate throws across. Right-handed hitter, uses a controlled leg kick to start timing, fluid swing with length at times but good bat speed through the zone using leverage and strength to create carry to the pull side.
