RJ Machado is a 2025 SS/3B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Sunrise, FL who attends St. Thomas Aquinas. Strong athletic build, especially in his lower half. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread and open stance, has strength to his swing, showed the ability to both lift the ball to the pull side and to drive it opposite field, projects well as a hitter with his strength. 6.75 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, works low to the ground, nice side to side actions, fields the back hand cleanly, very good arm strength and carry across the diamond. High level left side infield defender. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Florida State.
