Rylan Townsend is a 2021 RHP with a 6-0 183 lb. frame from Oviedo, FL who attends Hagerty. Large frame with some strength to build but remaining room to fill. Primary right-handed pitcher, only pitched at this event. Simple side step into a leg lift above the belt, uses drop and drive actions to work down the mound, long arm stroke that creates some cut to the fastball with occasional sink down in the zone while mixing in a pair of breaking balls in a curveball and slider that both show depth through the zone. Can project on the frame and mix of pitches for the long term. Great student.
