Ethan Pues is a 2022 OF/RHP, MIF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Plant City, FL who attends Strawberry Crest. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a long frame with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.06 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball to the side, extra step moving through the ball, tends to slow momentum at release, low and online throws to intended target with a compact arm action and carry on throws. Also pitched, works quickly on the mound, tight release from a higher slot and throws with intent. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, works almost exclusively off of the fastball, shows cut action consistently and filled the strike zone, able to induce ground ball contact, did flash a curveball up to 73 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even stance and utilizes a simple operation overall in the box. Hover leg lift at start of swing, stays behind the ball well and gets on plane, stays short to the ball with hands and showed an all fields approach. Mostly line drive contact with occasional lift to pull side, projects well moving forward, shows sound plate discipline. Excellent student. Named to Sunshine East Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
