Holden De Jong is a 2022 LHP with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Monroeville, NJ who attends St. Augustine Preparatory. The lefty works from a projectable frame with tons of room to add strength to his build. Out of a high 3/4 arm slot, De Jong displayed good command of the fastball to both sides of the plate at 84 mph and flashed a fading changeup to keep hitters off balance. He successfully kept the same arm action regardless of the pitch and threw his offspeed with conviction. De Jong mixed pitches well and proved he knew how to pitch and not just throw off the mound.
